🛡️ 100% Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA Policy)
We take every precaution to ensure your shrimp arrive healthy and active. However, live animal shipping carries inherent risks. If the unthinkable happens and your shrimp do not survive the journey, we have you covered.
How to Claim Your Guarantee:
- Receive the Package: You must be present to receive the package on the first delivery attempt, or pick it up within 2 hours if held at a post office.
- Take Clear Photos: Within 2 hours of confirmed delivery, take 2–3 clear photos of the deceased shrimp inside the unopened shipping bag next to your shipping label.
- Email Our Team: Send your photos and order number to support@[yourstore].com with the subject line "DOA Claim - Order #".
- Resolution: Once verified, we will issue a store credit, refund, or include replacement shrimp with your next order (minus shipping costs).
📦 Shipping Schedule & Weather Safety
Live creatures shouldn't spend weekends sitting in dark, unconditioned shipping warehouses. To protect your livestock, we follow strict dispatch schedules.
When We Ship
We only dispatch live animal orders on Mondays and Tuesdays. Orders placed between Wednesday and Sunday will be carefully prepared and shipped the following Monday.
Weather Cutoffs
If destination or transit temperatures fall below 40°F (4°C) or rise above 90°F (32°C), we will hold your shipment until weather conditions stabilize. We include complimentary heat packs or ice packs whenever necessary!

🔬 Quarantine & Breeding Transparency
We know how devastating it is to introduce pests or disease into an established, thriving shrimp colony. That is why we practice absolute transparency about where our livestock comes from.
-
Home-Bred Lines: Our signature lines are bred in-house in strict, predator-free environments.
-
Imported Stock Quarantine: Any imported varieties undergo a mandatory 30-day quarantine before they are ever listed on our website.
-
100% Pest-Free: We actively inspect and treat for common hobby pests, including Scutariella japonica, Planaria, Vorticella, and Hydra. You receive only clean, healthy, active shrimp.
